– first purchase of the day was the best. damp, misty field with not many people in at 7.30am wasn’t looking great, then bam. ~13 very good condition xbox games, saw kights of the old republic and lego 2 and knew i was somewhere good, battlefront 1, futurama, and a load other’s i wasn’t sure off. being the perfectionist i am i took along a printout of my own hand compiled video game price chart, a reliable one too, not like VGPC which I just noticed scrapes things using UPCs which on ebay is a terrible idea (eg. no one ever adds them except shops with expensive bins, maybe that’s what they want but it’s no use to me…). Anyway, long story short, asked for prices and they said ~$2 each but varying on game, asked about a few more games and got the same answer, i knew that was v good for some stuff but went away multiple times to check my list for others. after about 3 trips running away to check prices of stuff and constantly seeing $10+ I gave in and asked for the lot. $22 eventually for 13:

– next up, eye toy play with black camera, young boy asked $5 and was very convincing when i tried to hagle so i handed it over.

– Then saw PS2 Star Wars Battlefront 2, wanted $8, offered and got for $7.

– Then picked up battlefront 2 for xbox for $6.

– Went back to the xbox bundle guy at the end with only $7 cash left, he’d mentioned he had a dvd remote for xbox in with the xbox he was selling, asked if he’d sell it alone and asked $10, offered what i had and accepted. I have a few xboxes so a few remotes are good to have for them so i’ll be keeping this one. Used to be able to pick em up for $4 at a local game chain store when they had stock, but they sold out damn quick once another store started selling used xboxes for $40 and people caught on to the media center thing Anyway, i know they go for $14+, you can make ~$8.50+ off that, so to get it for less than that was fine with me.

And saw a load of PS2 games but alas I’ve not been in to PS2 stuff for long, so my list of prices is a little small and I’ve no idea what anything’s worth by memory unless it’s god of war. Saw Aladin and some flintstones thing for Sega Megadrive, had a huntch and asked how much, $6 was too much for a huntch. seems flintstones go for ~$8+ but nothing in it really.

The next place wasn’t as good, bit late to go really (now 8.30am) but at least it was on dry tarmac and did find another eye toy play, platinum, silver camera, boxed but loose though in vgc, asked $10, went away and offered and got for $6 later.

I know I’ll make everything back on the first lot alone, will have fun messing around with eye toy, and trying to get athens to run, so a pretty good day i say. Sega Bass Fishing for the dreamcast ain’t worth anything is it? Or original time crisis plus gcon? If so, coulda been better.

Oh I also got my old PS1 out the other day. purchased in the 90s and likely not used since then either :p … still works. in fact, better than i remember it (laser alignment was going but it was fine). Got a few PS1 games chucked in with a bundle i got earlier; sheep dog n wolf was one, had it on an emulator first to see if it’d work as it didn’t on old ps2, was fine and damn good looking too (beautiful reflections on things), anyway tried it in the ps1 and it was fine too (those things are better at reading CDs than PS2 i presume?) and finally found out that the little rips in graphics (mainly ground textures) is actually native to the ps1 and not epsxe messing up. and stuff really does look better in the emulators. didn’t remember the ps1 looked so bad, aliasing hell.

Still…. Devil May Cry 3 PS2 $6. I figured it went for around $12 and I wasn’t far off, more like $8-10 now but anyways…

Shenmue for dreamcast, had no idea but knew it was a popular game. 2 case 4 disc, no box but vvgc - $3. Apparently $20 is the min

Would’ve also had GTA SA xbox for $2 (min $20 on fleabay) and Buzz Music + 4 controllers PS2 for $10 (again, about $20 on ebay) yet being the world’s most unlucky purchaser neither of them could find the right disc, or any disc at all for that matter. You get that alot?

Also an MS Wireless Optical USB for $1. I don’t care what anyone says, it’s the best mouse in the world, so says my old one that’s still going strong 5 years of hard gaming later
